Le Meridien Al Aqah to Atlantis the Palm

We are staying at Le Meridien for one week and would like to go to the Atlantis waterpark for the day.

Has anyone done this trip? I know it will be about 2hrs there, 2 hrs back. Can I book a taxi from the hotel? Does anyone know how much this will cost?

Is it a good opportunity whilst in Dubai to have a quick tour round at some of the buildings or will it be too much on one day with the waterpark as well?

Thanks in advance

I have not done the trip you mention but have visited both places and am familiar with the area.

You are correct, it is a good 2 hour (possibly 2 and a half) journey in each direction and possibly a bit longer on the return if you get stuck in traffic. You could not have picked two places further apart than Al Aqah and Atlantis on The Palm !!

With a minimum round trip of 4 to 5 hours and 4 hours in the water park it does not leave much time for sightseeing.

Not sure what the taxi rate is for Fujairah taxis but you would be looking at a minimum 350AED from Atlantis to your hotel possibly less for the journey from your hotel to Atlantis.

I understand the hotel runs a bus into Dubai. You could catch this to the Dubai drop-off point and then use a taxi to the waterpark. A recent hotel review said the bus journey was 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Hope this gives some idea of the journey.

HolidaysRcool, Martins company is based in Dibba. Al Aqah is actually nearer to Dibba than it is to Fujairah City. Ask him for price of all day car and driver for your Atlantis trip.

Martin-john22, where iin Fujairah is Fujairah fort located?

Hi,

Fujairah Fort is located near to the Fujairah Museum. It is in the heart of the city.

The fort we can see from outside. No entry allowed to the fort now.

Fujairah Museum is a good place to visit.

Martin
