Restaurants in FP are expensive - we found that a dinner with 2 drinks, 2 entrees, 1 dessert was about $100. Lunches can be a little more reasonable - we usually split one lunch and it was plenty. We ate dinner away from the hotel (Hilton) every night and never worried about it being late or dark. However, we were never out & about when it was really late. We ate around 7:00 each night and went to bed early - there's not much going on, if anything, in Bora Bora late night. But, the good news is early to bed, early to rise and you the mornings in Bora Bora are glorious. :-)

A simple dinner for a couple with 4 drinks, is around 10.000 xpf. The exchange rate is fixed in 119.332 xpf/eur. A buffet dinner in Le Moana is 17.000 xpf.

We loved having the half board. It was nice not to rush to leave for Vaitape and really enjoy watching the sunset with drinks. Our resort had 3 restaurants to choose from-- although we almost always ate at the French restaurant which had similar vibes to nice Aussie restaurants. For us- we enjoyed the slower pace at night of eating in at night. Plus the ferry was more to travel at night.

Also, it's much safer than Toronto IMO--- except for some dogs that were territorial... :)

I'm sure Bora Bora is fairly safe late at night. But it's an early to bed kind of place. I doubt there are many places to get a late dinner.
