Sim card

Hi all

Learning about using my phone out of the EU. Believe a prepaid sim from the airport is best? Do you know how much?

To use an Egyptian SIM, your phone must first be unlocked.

My advice just get Egyptian SIM from Vodafone at the Airport.

I do have a current price list but can not post it on here.

24gig of data will cost around 20 Euros a little over £18.

I can give you other costs but if you look through this site I believe there is a current price list on the web site.

Hi guys check this out it shows you the coverage of all three networks in marsa alam region by Google map and shows that Vodafone has the best coverage, and I would strongly recommend buying a local card as roaming charges are very expensive and hotels wifi are very slow and often can cost up to 60€ per a device per a week in some hotels such as gorgonia and fantazia and floriana resorts.

Orange network is ok for calls but internet is stronger coverage and you can check in my previous reply the deference in coverage between the three networks in the marsa alam region, and also make sure that you check your internet capacity balance as one of the shops sell 500 mb as a 5 gb you can check your balance in orange by calling 110 and Vodafone by calling 888.

Ooooo now you can get 5 GB basic internet + 3500 mb for social media such as what's up Facebook etc + 3500 mb for music gives you a total of 12 GB for only 5€ plus 5 for the sim in total 12GB with sim cost 10€ only at the vodafone stand and you can check your balance by dialing this code *20*6# call than answer 1 and call , than you will receive an sms with your usage and balance. The card would be alreay activated in advance for you if you pre book it online at Egyptsim dotcom
