Caring people. Reasonably priced. Includes all utilities and such. Cottonwood is a great place to stay, as it is a central point to all the other towns of the Verde Valley (Jerome, 6 miles; Clarkdale, 4 miles; Sedona, 15-miles; Camp Verde, 14 miles). You can stay in Cottonwood and have money leftover for the events/adventures you want to do in the other areas. Cottonwood has the Dead Horse Ranch State Park if you want hiking trails; I walk 3 miles 3 times a week and always find nice/safe places to walk and pretty scenary too! Plenty of restaurants around that are reasonable. Consider a hotel--you'd have a pool/hot tub, daily breakfast/maid services, and restaurant discounts. Check them out--for a few bucks more, what the heck?
