What to do in 6 days?

I am travelling with a friend on a 5/6 day stopover and was considering a short safari from Johannesburg. Would this be a viable proposition and if so can anybody suggest anything please?

Thanks

The Pilanesberg national park is a 2/3 hour drive away and has a wide range of accommodation options. For a more luxury experience Madikwe is about 4 hours away. Kruger is of course the prime destination, about a 6 hour drive or you can fly.

Hello, yes this is very doable, and you can either fly or get the shuttle to Kruger or greater Kruger park for a great private lodge. If you fly, most flights arrive lunchtime and then you have a pick up to the lodge. I recommend Kruger, rather than something closer, like Pilanesberg, whilst I really do like this reserve, my favorite is Kruger park and believe your game viewing experience will be superior. 3 or 4 nights is IMO, adequate. There are super, well priced lodges where you will experience a great safari, Meals, 2 game drives daily and a variety of accommodation, from luxury tents with bathroom en suite, some on stilts, and other chalets from quite basic to luxury.
