September is very pleasant in Umhlanga, usually warm but not too humid yet - that comes later in summer. Beverly Hills Hotel very good hotel, nice restaurants, especially the breakfast on the terrace overlooking the ocean. Rooms are well appointed but a little small for a hotel of this standard. Generally, though, really nice hotel. Also within walking distance to town centre with lots of good restaurants and right on the beach

September is the start of our rainy season (spring and summer rainfall), unlike the Cape. This does not usually mean days of rain, however last year we did have torrential rainfall (I suspect global warming). Not the best time of year for Kzn imo but still lots to do in the area. Beverley Hills is a lovely hotel and another option would be The Oyster Box.

November it starts to warm up and everything is lovely and lush and green, still some rain but like I said shouldn't be days of rain like in CT.
