Wheather update in Kruger

We are flying to Kruger on Thursday and just wondered how the roads and picnic areas are following the floods in January, we love Tshokwane and know this was hit badly and read temporary facilities were made available, has anyone got any up to date info on how things are in the park we are staying in Letaba, Olifants, Lower Sabie and Satara any up to date info would be appreciated.

Many Thanks Annette

There is an update on picnic spots and roads on their website which we found very useful before we went there recently - also there were updated notices in the camps

everything is back to normal, other than Thsokwane (as far as I know there are only toilet facilities at the moment).

Just back for another amazing trip to Kruger and so glad to say saw as many animals as ever, more Leopard than we have seen before and Rhino I am very pleased to say. The floods in January have caused quite a bit of damage to a few bridges although still usable apart from the crossing to Balule from Olifants so thats a bit of a trek round if you are staying in Balule and wanted to go to Olifants. We did not see any repair work going on at Thsokwane and it did not look bad so guess they are waiting for everything to be fully dried out, I hope they get it back to its former glory soon.
