Accomodation suggestions in Sabie

Any suggestions on self catering accommodation in the Sabie area. We are looking to drive about 4 hours east of Johannesburg towards the Kruger Park. Preferably a place with a 4 star rating. My sense is that 3 star places are more like lower end motels in the U.S.?

Have a look at the web site below. Not sure what stars they have but we've stayed there several times and thoroughly enjoyed it.

It's on the banks of the Sabie River (trout fishing) in a forested area just outside the centre of Sabie.

If you're looking for a 4 star place and don't mind self catering have a look at: www.cambalala.com

We stayed there on our last visit to the area.

Its in hazyview which is around 50 km from Sabie and very well situated for visiting the blyde river area etc.

3 star rated hotels are normally good hotels, nothing

to do with lower end motels! At least that is my experience. If you are talking about B&Bs, guest

houses or self catering, that is another question.
