24 hours spare to plan -advice needed

Hi

I have most of our itinerary sorted and very much looking forward to it. However I have one night left to plan and unsure what to do.

We leave Elephant Plains on Friday morning after breakfast and are booked to fly out of MQP on Saturday at 13:30 to Cape Town.

I was thinking of driving around Blyde River Canyon and then staying at the Protea Winkler hotel. Not sure on best route or if this is best location to stay. Would really like to see Blyde river area and have no other spare time on the trip to do it.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

White river is not so close to Blyde River Canyon, it's like a 2hour drive

you may want to stay a little closer like Graskop, Crystal Springs, Mt Sheba or even in Aventura Blydepoort

Don't expect to leave Elephant Plains before 11am. Breakfast will be after your 3-4 hour morning drive.
