Belair Guest House, Paarl - has anyone stayed there?

This is one of my options for our next trip to the Winelands - it has a good writeup in the Greenwood Guide but, so far, only one posting about it on TA - does anyone have any more information about it- thank you

Hi Frechpoodle

Nearly stayed there a couple of year's ago and never been disappointed with accommodation from Greenwood Guide. However, not Paarl but pretty close in Wellington is Bovlei Valley Retreat. A wonderful place - amazing setting, service, heated pool, great wine at their attached winery, and amazing food. Also in the Greenwood Guide and definitely worth considering.

Thank you Lisa, will have a look at their website. As you say the Greenwood Guide never lets you down. I see from one of your previous posts you are staying at Rouxwil Guest Farm in November, one of our favourite places and they have just won the AA Award for Best Farm Accommodation in South Africa so you are in for a treat!!

So looking forward to staying there, after both you and VDC recommended. Only 12 weeks to go! Think you would like BVR. Littlejohn was very impressed.
