Stop off points Cape Town to Robertson

We will be travelling CApe Town to Roberston in July (not a long journey). However, we would like to stop mid route to take in a vineyard or walk. We have two children aged 12 and 17. Any suggestions? We don't want too much of a deviation from the main route.

I did the reverse journey a few weeks ago and stopped at Spice Route winery in Paarl. There is lots to do here from wine tasting, beer tasting, watching the glass blowing, chocolate tasting. There are several eating options , including the restaurant which specialises on "spiced" food, pizzeria, barley and biltong.

Well worth a couple of hours and is 10 minutes off the N1 and has fabulous views back to Cape Town. It's not quite half way though. That would be Worcester but not such a good place to stop IMO

I would suggest Paarl also, the monument is interesting, not to long & just off the N1. I recommend Du Toits Kloof pass over the Huguenot tunnel.
