Cheap Flight

Hopefully somebody can help us with an (web) adress to book a cheaper flight to Cape Town, travelling from The Netherlands, Germany or the UK?

KLM flies directly from ams/cpt - lufthansa flies from Germany and then of course there is British Airways/SAA/Virgin all flying direct from London to Cape Town.

Look at a meta trawl website such as kayak.co.uk.

Any suggestions for someone flying out of the west coast of the US? I was considering looking at options to fly to Asia (maybe India) and then travel to SA.

I am looking at going to the World Cup next summer, so I was hoping flight specialists might have some good cheap options to attract fans.

Any ideas?

TJ - i am not a travel agent but i somehow cant see "cheap flights" being offered for the 2010 games. My suggestion is to book as soon as booking opens and check Delta if you are flying from the West Coast as they have some new flights from the U.S. to Cape Town

Thanks for your comments about Delta as I didn't realize they flew to SA.

And the bad Delta news is - they have just announced an end to the Cape Town service at the end of August. For now, they still have the nonstop daily flights between At;anta and Johannesburg. The 'window' of time for the World Cup isn't open yet - don't know what their pricing policy will be.

Hi! We are leaving exactly in your same location, KLM have some good offer. We have been able to book AMS/CPT JBN/AMS for the same price that a normal AMS/CPT/AMS.

Re flights for the World Cup period, airlines, in common with most other businesses work on 'supply and demand'. If there is little demand then there will probably be bargains but for the world cup the demand is going to be enormous, I think it will probably be a case of finding any flight rather than finding a cheap one. There are already reports of the cost of accommodation in SA for this period rocketing up in price (one guy mentioned a 1000% increase on this years price) I hope all prices dont go up by anything like this but I think it is an indication that cheap flights will most likely not be available.
