My husband and I will be in Cape Town and we are foodies and very interested in the dining scene. While we love fine foods (we're planning to go to Savoy Cabbage, Carne, etc), we also very much love to try street foods when traveling to another city.
I read about bunny chow (aka "kota") and while I understand that it's a Durban origin, I was wondering if we could find that in Cape Town? I did some online research, and it seems like places that serve them (i.e. Spice Cafe and The Quarter restaurant) have since closed?
What about other street foods (e.g. biltong) that we can try and where do you recommend we find them in the city?
We are also thinking of going to Biesmiellah for some Cape Malay food.
Thanks in advance!
