Wine stops or hopping???

We are heading to Cape town and will be heading to there wine country and we were wondering is there any must see wineries for views, food, that we should place in our plans? I know there are many just thought if anyone had some must see places to add.

Thanks

There a are some excellent producers in Constantia . Steenberg is lovely, with a good Bistro as well as a fancier restaurant a the hotel.

La Colombe, at Constantia Uitsig is a fabulous choice for a meal, but booking is advised as early as possible.

Groot Constantia is worth a visit for the old Cape Dutch architecture and the great view.

Cape point vineyards is also a good stop as part of a peninsula tour, just make sure which days they are open.

1.It's not clear whether you're wanting to take a Private Tour or drive yourself but please be aware of very strict laws against drinking and driving in South Africa.

2. Try to cover the major wine districts for a comparitive tasting of the various regions like Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek...

3. A great place for lunch in Franschhoek is La Pettite Ferme and you must book well in advance
