Also look at;

http://www.baysidecandidasa.com/

They have garden view bungalows at that price and ocean/pool view bungalows, a little higher.

Have a look at Aquaria Resort. Lovely pool, right on the ocean, standard room for about US$40 a night, includes breakfast and taxes. Only 10 rooms, great food and restaurant, lovely staff and owners.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, have a look at the Alam Asmara - nice little boutique place, centrally location, with a nice little pool overlooking the sea.

I know that Sue C has also stayed there and had a pleasurable experience

You're right HNB and I still think their semi-outdoor bathrooms are my favourite.

I did not mention this lovely litle hotel, because I did not think it came in around the price that Rob had indicated, but it's always worth asking if you can do a deal.

Edit...it's also one of my favoyrite places to eat in Candidasa at their restaurant Rendezvous..

I just remember once having a distinctly onion-flavoured piece of water melon for breakfast there in their restaurant - I'm not altogether down with the kids on the latest culinary fashions but I'm not sure I enjoyed the flavour.

I have to agree about the bathrooms, and the lovely jasmine shampoo provided too.

I recommend http://www.pondokbambu.com/room-rate.php or Ari Homestay, mentioned here tripadvisor.com.au/ShowUserReviews-g312684-d…
