Voage or Atlantis?

Hi,

So, I'm down to these two. Which one to choose?

Requirements are:

1. Cleanliness of the hotel and rooms.

2. Quality and variety of food and drinks generally (the range/quality of a la carte restaurants. How easy is to get reservation there, ...).

3. Size and views from standard double room (balcony, etc.).

4. Service (reception, check-in & check-out, friendliness and helpfulness).

Thank you!

I cannot comment on the Atlantis as I have not stayed there ,but I can highly recommend the Voyage as it ticks all of your boxes .

Thank you.

In Voyage I have the following 3 options:

1. A Block Land View /DBL

2. Bungalow Room /DBL (1 + $150)

3. Main Building Sea Side /DBL (1 + $250)

Any advice?

I have been to both hotels the Voyage in 2010 and the Atlantis just recently.

Both hotels were spotlessly clean.

Rooms - very similar in style both a bit dated, our room at the Atlantis had a bigger balcony with a lovely sea view.

A la cartes - better food at the Voyage, better service at the Atlantis.

Snacks - very good at both hotels, Atlantis must have improved since you went Dingle.

Service and the friendliness of the staff - Atlantis gets my vote.

Both hotels offer branded drinks with a larger selection at the Voyage.

Main restaurant - food good at both, hectic at the Voyage but with a wider choice of food.

I found both hotels to be good 5* family hotels, with the Atlantis offering better value for money.

I am returning to the Voyage early next year, and thinking of booking the Atlantis again for next May/June.

I have stayed in the block (A) land view rooms many times and really enjoyed them . If you are at the back facing the Maxx Royal then you can still get a bit of a sea view .

Hope this helps you

when I stayed at the atlantis, i preferred the annex just adjacent to the reception area and found it much quieter plus they had a relax pool there which was nice. For me, when staying at the voyage, I also liked the annex. It was less than a 5 minute walk to the main building but that wasn't an issue - plus you escape the noise from the disco and loud music. Still different strokes for different folks :)
