Well we have now been at the CD for 4 days and everything is fine just missing a few little touches from The Pallazo..
We arrived at the hotel a little behind schedule as the Mini Bus driver became lost once we got to Belek..It was a fellow passenger in the bus giving instructions lol..But that aside arrived to a lovely welcome as some of our group arrived two days before us..there is now 23 of us in total here.
We were given a Swim Up Room as a free upgrade as we emailed in advance and in the room was bottle of bubbly, chocolates, fruit, cake,Spirt Minatures,A bunch if White Roses and a free ala carte if our choice for our wedding anniversary a lovely touch..However our freinds who travelled with us were given the room next to ours but it was like a adjoining room after you entered the door so there room was much smaller etc..And also a far walk to the pools etc so we both moved the following day to the main building with a sea view and the room is great, large modern etc and the flat screen Tv in the mirror is a nice design.
Drinks are branded and you always get Crisps,Doritos and nuts when there served by the waiters who on the whole are ok.
We have had no issue with moving furniture so we can all sit together as a previoys review saud they did have greif. We did notice y.day a couple playing cards and were asked to stop and put them away as it doesnt comply with the hotels concept..strange..
Pools are fine we sit in the adult section as this pool has a slight salt water taste but is ok and really clean amd warm watet.
We are really missing the pool waiters from the Pallazo last year but we did have a Juice Trolley come around today which was nice. When we go to the Dome Bar to get drinks obviously it can be upto 23 they then bring the drinks around they wont let us carry them on a tray..
The food is ok the Dome Bar lunchtime is fine but the waiters just seem to bring out way more than ordered...Yesterday for example there was 18 sitting down and we must have had 28 dishes brought out lol..
We havnt seen much of the shows as always end up inside in the air con as its quite humid at night but it does sound like party central when it gets going..
Nothing damaged from the earth quake just a few bottles and chairs shaking but all the Turkish people ran out and sat on chairs outside the reception in the car park for two hours which is a normal thing to do apparently.
Played golf and at the Faldo course was nice not busy at all but one tip play real early as even with a buggy it becomes very warm indeed..Booked in the hotel and got a good deal but played at 6.50am and the green fee was half price..
Been to the Chinese Ala carte which was really nice and great service and also the BBQ which is in the Dome Bar in the evening this one is free and was nice..
The main buffet resairent is ok but I have never been to a more busy place in my life..its a real shock when you walk in there for the first time..We went around 8pm...there is a small room at the back for adults only which is nice and your own waiter but get there early you only then have run the gauntlet to find your meal. But the food is fine and so far always been hot and plates are warm to hot which helps.
Nt much else to report but went to the water slides today and there ok but nothing special the slides at the Pallazo are in a diffrent league..the wifi in the rooms and lobby is fine bit iffy around the pools at times..
WIll try and update but if you have any questions please ask and will do my best to find you a answer..
