quiet beaches!!

hi!

does anyone know if there are any quieter beaches that are easy to get to from hisaronu as both olu and sugar beach seem to sound like they cram everybody in like sardines!!! am going mid august so will always be a busy time but wanted to see a bit more of the real turkey and relax without tons of other people!!

anyone been to kidrak or katranci??

any comments would be gratefully accepted!

thanks x

The main Oludeniz beach (Belcekiz) is very long and never gets crammed! There's always an empty part to the left or right of the middle. Kidrak beach is very quiet but nothing there re facilities or bars etc- depends what you want.

How about Patara, just put the name in the search box, lots of info there.

Just got back. No sugar beach is definitely not overcrowded and the food is v. reasonable. Sunbeds very spaced out but you dont have to use them... Go!

Kidrak is lovely but very little shade and no facilities other than toilets. Also the beach slopes very steeply into the sea and the currents are strong. When we went there in May (10 min dolmus journey) there were several Turkish families and a couple of tourists only. Great, but you need to take everything with you.

I'd definitely recommend Patara. We took a bus from Fethiye, and then after they dropped us off a dolmus down to the beach, but it was well worth the effort.

A gorgeous sandy beach and clean sea, apparently 18km long and very quiet. There's a nice little cafe too.

Also, Iztuzu Beach near Dalyan is fantastic too.

Gemiler beach is not far away and is usually empty, nice view of St Nicholas' island too.
