Local council have "taken over" the running of the area, lots of new rules and regulations have been rumoured, beach beanbags were one, another one is the regulations for paragliding, only certain companies will be allowed to work, and the numbers they are allowed to take may drop, also proper transport will have to be used - minibus instead of jeeps, so would not be surprised if prices go up if the rules are forced.

Maybe a while before the full story is known

Can't believe the beanbags have gone!, i was so looking forward to sitting on them with a cocktail, watching the sunset like I did last year, they are part of Olu Deniz, how dare they take them away :(

I go there every day at 4pm to watch the paragliders, chill and relax. Someone let the council know how much we will miss this. Olu will not be the same without the bean bags.

( Sigh )

Think FF just means minibuses to get you up the mountain to do the Paragliding.

Would it help if we all wrote to the local council concerning the Beanbags? personally speaking it's a massive part of our Oludeniz Holiday / Experience :(

Yes it probably would help contacting the local council - I have done regarding things in Fethiye, and had a sensible reply, and something was actually done about a query I made.

The Mayors email address is

baskan@oludeniz.bel.tr

Interesting to see what mauitara finds out -

PS mauitara

hope you enjoyed your swim today.

And for Sami - there already is a minibus safari, its called a Dolmus...............
