Olu Deniz to Marmaris

Hi,

We're thinking of going to Olu Deniz. We have been to Marmaris a few times but fancy Olu Deniz. How far is it to Marmaris from Olu Deniz? Is there still markets and bizarres in Olu Deniz and boat trips, jeep safaris etc? Hoping to go AI but would like to know that we can still go out for a meal or a nice walk.

What is the big differences between Marmaris & Olu Deniz?

Olu Deniz is a lot smaller than Marmaris, its a few hours trip, it is lovely and only 10 mins away from Hisaronu and about 25 from the town of Fethiye. Lots of lovely restaurants and all the usual trips but no bazaars although there is a market in Hisaronu and Fethiye. It is smaller than Icmeler if you have been there.

If you want AI I can recommend Alize or Belcekiz Beach but there is still load of great restaurants wherever you stay and will not get a bad meal anywhere

Thanks.

We're going to a wedding in Olu Deniz and not sure whether to stay in Olu Deniz, Hisaronu or Fethiye. There will quite a few people going and a lot of kids so we really would like somewhere that is child friendly. Where would you recommend for kids?

No comparison Marmaris and Olu Deniz, Marmaris is huge, Olu is small and perfectly formed. Olu is peaceful and laid back, Marmaris is noisy and in your face and so are some of the tourists!

Donna, both Olu and Hisaronu are child friendly, Fethiye is a busy working town. Olu Deniz has a great beach, you can't go wrong there with kids and Hisaronu would also be good, the main street closes to traffic at 7pm so you don't have to keep such a close watch when you are out and about, there is also a small fair and lots going on.
