Buenos Aires - AEP to EZE transfer

Hello,

I have seen a few posts regarding transfers between AEP and EZE airports. But, they are a little old and I am sure the times would've changed by now.

I just want to get information on this - I will be arriving at AEP at 6:05 PM in the evening (I need to collect my checked-in bag). I have an international connection from AEP at around 10 PM that night.

Is that connection time enough for me to take a cab, travel to EZE (in evening traffic), clear immigration and board my next flight? I checked Google Maps and the slowest travel time it shows is 1hr 10mins.

Kindly help.

To me it seems a bit risky.

It takes you about 1 hr from AEP to EZE.

But you have to be about 2 hours before your departure to check in your bag, etc.

Boarding usually beings 30-45 minutes before departure.

If your 2nd flight departs at 10, they will board and close the gate before that time.

So you only have 1 hour to grab your bag, hail a cab, etc.

You *should* be able to do it, but everything has to go perfectly (no delay from your incoming flight to AEP, no delay with baggage retrieval, traffic, etc)... I would actually consider spending the night in Buenos Aires (you can stay at a decent hotel for aprox USD $100) and take a flight the following day.

That sounds good. Thanks for the information. I'll make necessary changes to the itinerary so that the departure is from AEP as well.

I came into EZE and they said that there was a free shuttle to AEP. I'd imagine that it went both ways, but I'm not sure. It took us 45-50 mins from Recoleta to EZE by cab, but that was at quiet travel times.

Security was a bit slow and they did board us early in order to check our carry on bags.

Your timing is a little tight. It has taken us ~2 hours to travel from the centre of Buenos Aires (not too far away from AEP) to EZE before now. Add on collecting luggage and checking in...
