Buenos Aires to Asunción

Is it worth taking a short excursion for a couple of days from Buenos Aires to Asunción? The only direct flight that flies this journey is on Pluna--how is this flight?

Ajedrecista:

PLUNA is the only airline flying that route from BA Aeroparque (the downtown airport). Takes anywhere from 3 to 5 hours depending on the connection in Montevideo Carrasco Airport. They fly brand new Canadair Regional Jets and are usually the cheapest on that route, currently quoting a return fare of $187 US.

From BA's International Ezeiza airport, you have several more choices including Aerolineas, TAM Mercosur (Paraguayan sidekick of TAM), TACA, and some Brazilian carriers. The only ones flying non-stop are TAM Mercosur and Aerolineas.

Since Brits don't have to go through the hassle of obtaining a Paraguayan visa for visits up to 90 days it might be worth your while.
