Visa for Brazil?? Igazu Falls.

We are staying in BsAs and are going to fly to Argentina Side of the falls. Is it possible to drive to Brazil side to see Falls without a Visa? Seems like alot to pay to just visit for a few hours?

Thanks

Brazil requires a visa for even a short visit into their territory.

At the present time, Brazilian visas are being issued to USA passport holders for 10 year multientry visits.

Yes you need a visa. Because you are in Kentucky that means the Brazilian Consulate in Washington, DC.

It looks like you can apply by mail. Their website says it takes 3 weeks.

Or if you're going to be in Buenos Aires for a longer period you can apply at the consulate office on Carlos Pelligrini. It takes no more than 48 hours to get your visa and they will issue it for 10 years. I posted detailed instructions how to do it if you do a search.

I'm not sure how convenient it will be for you if you live in Kentucky so it might be easier just doing it in Buenos Aires if you have time. Although maybe if you don't want to bother with it or not in town long you might not want to hassle with it but not too difficult.
