What to wear when going to Igassu Falls

Visiting Igassu Falls for 3 days, want to see as much as we can, was wondering what the terrain was like and is it hiking boots or will trainers be OK - should it be shorts or long walking trousers? Any help greatly appreciated and any tips as to getting the best out of our 3 days.

Thanks

It depends when you'll be there and what the weather's like, we didn't need hiking boots and it was warm weather so a lot of people wore shorts but when you get close to the falls you get completely sprayed with water so you either have to buy a plastic poncho at the kiosk or take a light jacket with a hood or get soaked.

We are just back from the Falls. On the Brazillian side no need for anything other than trainers, many were doing it in flip flops

On the Argentinian side, which I found more beautiful and unspoilt, unless you are planning to go beyond the Upper, Lower trails and Devils Throat, trainers will be fine

We wore shorts and did not feel we needed any rain type protection, we dried off very quicky and even thoogh we were there after a period of heavy rain, did not get very wet in any event

Sandals or Trainers will be perfect - and that light rain gear (we did fine without it, except for the boat ride under the Falls)

and it is easy to get there.

I think the most essential items to pack are: MOSQUITO REPELLENT and suntan lotion.

If you are planning to visit both sides of the Falls , you will have a fabulous time. The spot where the 3 countries meet is neat, but not a don't miss site.
