I´d go for Casa Sur, a beautiful hotel in a great location.
There for 4 days
How far are the two districts
Palermo sounds nice but obv the tourist attractions are recoleta
Do u know much about fierro Dubuque or pal palace
Indianbone: Perhaps you could learn a lot about BsAs hotels and the areas they are located in by reading this thread just above your own.

Lots of options there and even more confusion lol
Duque hotel is lovely, but for a first visit and for 4 days only you will prefer to stay in Recoleta. Just go to Palermo Soho one of those days (better if it´s Saturday afternoon when the area is more lively).
If you mean Palermo Place, it´s a new and nice hotel, but even more out of the way.
I am wondering why this particular list of Hotels is coming up from a few different members. Have they been named in some article out of interest? It is just that Buenos Aires has some great Hotels, many established with great reputations. It is important to choose one that suits what you need in a Hotel and not just because it is name dropped. They may be all fine Hotels, but most especially in the world of the internet, blogs and so forth it is important to go for the suitable Hotel not the "In" one. IMHO
Thanks for the above......
been reading few forums etc and these are the names i gathered
but it looks like recoleta is the place to be......
any recommendations of hotels at a reasonable rate in this area then ?
Is Aspen Towers Hotel in a good location for walking to attractions
Wow, for the $250 USD per night you could get a killer apartment in BA. You're definitely paying for the location.
DJKelso, do you mean Aspen Suites ? on Esmerelda ? I have never heard of it but we have friends who live on Esmerelda and it is not a terrible walk from there to Recoleta. You Might need a taxi or bus to get around to more areas though.
