Researching a potential trip to BA

Looking for recommendations on where to stay (hostel) and what to do. I'd probably fly into BA for a few days and then head to a couple other locations (where) before spending the last night or two back in BA.

Traveling mid December for 2 weeks.

Any help is appriciated.

How many people and how much is your budget?

I've successfully used hostalworld.com for many many years and never had a problem with any location as long as you are careful with the reviews.

Hi and thanks for writing back.

It'll just be me traveling.

Budget wise, I like to be a budget backpacker, but can afford above that.

I have heard good things about Hostel Colonial http://www.hostelcolonial.com.ar/

Palermo has some nice hostels, or so I have read but I don't remember names.

In your research, besides reading these forums, you should get a good Rough Guides Buenos Aires.

You will get an idea of what to see and do and how long it takes to get from one place to another and how much it will cost you.

This country is huge and it takes plane rides or very long bus rides to get to places outside the city.

Remember that December is one of the big tourist months, summer and holidays etc.. so prices and availability might be limited.

Good luck with the research !
