Subte - $2.50 for each line?

Having looked at the thread, I understand it would be a good idea to buy a multi ticket for the subte. Thank you everyone for posting such excellent information. Can I ask a silly question please, if you want to change lines, is it a separate charge each time? Just trying to work out how many trips I might be making. We are staying at the Hotel Emperador so I think it will be easy to use the subway from there. - Thank you

1. Re: Subte - $2.50 for each line?

As only as you don't exit the subte turnstile and remain in the transit area to the next line then you do not pay again.

From the location of your hotel, I would be tempted to use the buses or walking tours versus the Subte. The Retiro station is not that savory. The other closest station would be San Martin which is safer.

Have a look at www.omnilineas.com;click on colectivos for bus and subte planning.

Also $2.50 is equal to 2.50 pesos.
