My husband and I are traveling with another couple to Mendoza in November. We were planning on taking the bus over the Andes to Santiago, but I discovered the Malbec Symphony private car transfer. malbecsymphony.com/mendoza-to-santiago-trans… The car will stop at various points on the journey (Aconcagua Provincial Park, the Inca Bridge) to enjoy the scenery, which I think would be really neat, but it costs $550 USD for the journey instead of $150-200 for the bus. We can afford to do the car, but I'm trying to decide if it's worth the extra money that could otherwise be spent on wine or a great dinner.
Do you think it's worth the extra money to be able to enjoy the Andean scenery from outside the vehicle? Or would you stick to the bus and save the money?
