There are two hotels with the best locations for viewing the falls. In Brazil, it's the Hotel das Cataratas by Orient Express. In Argentina, it's the Sheraton.

Of the two hotels then the das Cataratas is superior for service and amenities.

The Brazilian side of the Falls is focused on the spectacular view of all of the Falls.

The Argentine side of the Falls is focused on an up close and personal visit to the falls. It's best to do both parks, thus requiring transport over the border. This can easily be arranged at both hotels since drivers are available at all times in front of both hotels.

Hotel Cataratas and the Sheraton are good options but there's no restaurants around them so you are practically obliged to eat there, we preffered staying in the town itself at the St George as it's across the road from the bus station so easy access to the falls and there's a good choice of restaurants a few minuìtetes walk away.

I agree with RicardoBA, BUT, if you stay at the Sheraton, just plan to take a taxi or two into town (puerto de iguazu) and have some really good meals there. Then walk around the small town and take a taxi back. There is a bus service also, but at night, and on a honeymoon - I would take taxis.
