No. You need a government-issued photo id such as a drivers license plus proof of citizenship such as a birth certificate or voters registration when you return.

Why are you going there? I would advise against going alone. Also, Nogales is not as safe as it once was. Random shooting by drug gangs is considered a possible danger to visitors.

Passports will not be required for land crossings until June 2009.
