Phoenix Winter Golf Rates

We are interested in buy/renting a place in the Phoenix area. To do this it would be necessary to find out

which golf courses offer winter rates. Jan, Feb & Mar of next year. I have heard that Snowbirds (Canadians)

prebook a house or condo 6 months in advance because

they know the best 3 month winter rates at the local golf courses. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Winter in PHX is the high season. Expect to pay premium rates for rentals and for your golf. You can discounts in the summer.

We have a condo in Fountain Hills and we rent it out for Jan, Feb, March because golf at that time is too expensive for us. Those are the most expensive months of the year in the desert areas. You can try www.golfnow.com for next day tee time discounts. There is something called the Southwest Golf Pass that you can buy and get a bit of a discount. Summer discount rates start in May and usually end after reseeding in October. Anyone who lives in the north in the summer and in the desert in the winter is called a Snowbird, not just Canadians.
