Rec, please, for afternoon tea

Next month I would like to take my daughter to afternoon tea. Dress up and "play lady." I am not very familiar with the area and would appreciate suggestions.

Would like to stay in the Biltmore Fashion Mall/Scottsdale area.

Many thanks for your help.

I'd recommend the Phoenician. They have a lovely afternoon tea where you can make special memories with your daughter.

I'd recommend that you call and make reservations. Have a wonderful time.

The Ritz Carlton also offers an Afternoon Tea Wednesdays - Saturdays.

The AZ Biltmore is Thur - Sunday.

Between these two and the Phoenician you will have a hard choice, they are all beautiful places and have excellent service.

I love high tea and it is just a lovely tradition for Mother and Daughter.

In addition to the above recommendations, there's a tea room in Carefree that's excellent, called the English Rose Tea Room. It's not in Scottsdale, obviously, but it's worth the drive. The owner is from England, and they do serve excellent tea, scones, etc. The tea room has a cute little shopping area filled with interesting items, and there's even a room in the back with fancy hats and "dress up accessories" to borrow, if you like. It's just a fun little place; do make reservations if you decide to go there, though.

Otherwise, any of the resorts mentioned above have excellent teas.
