holiday lodging

We are planning on visiting the Christmas City over the holidays this year. We would like to find a hotel or bed and breakfast that is walking distance to town that shares some holiday charm. Suggestions would be appreciated

There are several places to stay close to the Courthouse square. Look at the map in the link. Turn on the "hybrid" view and zoom in until you see the courthouse surrounded by trees. You will see hotels & B*Bs close by.

Thanks! We have stayed in Prescott in the springtime. We were wondering if any of the lodgings in the downtown area had special holiday offerings

I would definitely check The Hassayampa Inn, you might have to call directly to get any info on Christmas happenings at this time of year, but it is right across the street from the courthouse square and a classic, historic AZ inn.

We could be slightly biased, but having stayed at all downtown properties I would recommend either the Hotel Vendome or The Motor Lodge as both provide superior customer service, are walking distance to town, and provide nice amenities to their guest. Contact these properties directly to inquire about any Holiday Specials they may have. Hotel Vendome plans on running many deals and special events this winter. Hope this helps.

P.S. Read TripAdvisor reviews carefully before looking to other downtown properties.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Hassayampa Inn in Prescott at Christmas time a couple of years ago.

It was decorated for Christmas and within walking distance (just down the hill) to court house square. It's supposedly haunted if you are interested in that type of thing.

The Peacock Dining Room at the hotel was very nice with excellent food and service.

Prescott had a gingerbread house competition that was kind of fun to view.

Just walking around courthouse square at night was fun with all the pretty decorated trees and lights.
