Restaurants Choices for Anniversary Trip

My wife and I are headed to Scottsdale for our anniversary. Believing that variety is the spice of life and having been to Scottsdale before, I would like to try some new restaurants. I have taken a good look through some previous forum posts and done some homework on my own. The end result was a list of about 10 places. We only have 5 nights though, so I need to chop this list down. Please take a look and let me know if you feel strongly about anything on here one way or the other....thanks in advance for your feedback!

Talavera

Modern Steak

Bobby's

Tommy Bahama

Tarbell's

J&G Steakhouse

Bandera

Roaring Fork

Tonto's (lunch on the patio)

Meritage Steakhouse & Ristorante Tuscany (we are staying at JW Marriott)

Well we love Talavera for dinner and Tonto's (lunch o the patio. Roaring Fork is another "must visit" and enjoy.

Tommy Bahama's is ok but not really on our hit parade - especially if you only have 5 days.

Sorry I don't know the others but I hope that's a a beginning for you.

Not to add to your problem solving, but Cartwrights and Binkleys (both in Cave Creek) are wonderful.

Have a great visit.

I was trying to find out what your tastes were by your list but could not so: IMO the following are ones I do not consider "special or exciting" Bobbys--Modern Steak-- Tommy Bahama-- Bandera-- Suggestions would be Elements-- Ocean Club-- Chelsea's Kitchen-- other suggestions if I had a better direction to your likes.....Roaking Fork a must, Tarbells very good choice popular with the locals as is Chelsea's Kitchen

Would definitely keep

Talavera

J&G Steakhouse

Roaring Fork

Tonto's

If needing another steakhouse I would look at Ocean Prime which is located in City North just south of the JW. Mastros or Capital Grille would be good choices over Meritage or Modern Steak.

Carefree Station in Carefree is often overlooked because of the distance, but you will be only 15 minutes away. Open rooftop dining with great food & service.

When it comes to picking restaurants, we really are pretty flexible. We aren't looking to restrict ourselves to anything specific. We are just looking for some different experiences.

This definitely helps a lot though. Thank you all for your input. It is definitely appreciated and valued!!

I also second Elements. The views are as amazing as the food. Try the canteloupe martini.

Oh, how could I forget? T Cook's at the Royal Palms is also outstanding.

Try the lobster.

Also recommend Cowboy Ciao. Try the Stetson Chopped Salad. The wine list is pretty amazing, it's a few hundred pages long.
