Girls Getaway

So 4 girlfriends want to go to Scottsdale, april 3-7..... We originally had a free place with a car (which is why 2 of the gals were able to go) this place has now fallen through. so, here is my question. The place we were going to be was a 2 bedroom condo and what was nice about it, is that is has 2 twin beds in each room. this was nice so everyone has their own bed. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced condo (found one for $685 for 4 nights) but just a queen bed and 2 twins. Although I have been to Scottsdale many times, I'm wondering if there is a good area to stay in that possibly we could get by without a rental car? Any input would be so greatly appreciated!!!!

Look at any condos to rent near Old Town Scottsdale, close to Indian School Road / Scottsdale Road intersection, up to Chaparral Road / Scottsdale Road...there are some places between Scottsdale Road and Hayden Road in that area, and if you get a place in mind, feel free to ask us about area, location, etc. That is a long time to go without a car in Scottsdale, perhaps at least get a rental for a day and do some exploring.

$685 for 4 nights! What a rip off! Or at least doesn't sound too good, check out hotels or vrbo in old town, the zip code will be 85251, northern parts of 85257 you can get around without a rental car as well. Old Town is agreat area to hang in as far as bars, art, nightlife, and dining, but you may want to take a cab one day or consider renting a car for a day to hike camelback or see a bit more of the city. The bus/trolley in Scottsdale is the only one in the city that runs. Depending on what you want to do in terms of itinerary during the trip you could easily get by without the car, or be wondering why they hell everything is so far when you get here.

Oh yeah, now that we got the light rail you can get to downtown phoenix easily by public transport, s72 bus to the light rail, or it's probably around $40 to take a taxi. Totally recommend a day down there if you have not yet been, maybe even getting a hotel for one night down there.

March and April are months a lot of tourists are in town so rates are very high then. Downtown/Old Town Scottsdale area as described by AZFan is probably best place to look for condo. There is a free trolley that runs a circuit through the two areas about every 15 minutes during the day. However, getting to other places in Scottsdale and the Phoenix area is cumbersome and expensive. Public transit is abysmal. Downtown/Old Town does have many shops plus Scottsdale Fashion Square, but you may want to consider renting a car for at least part of your visit.
