Absolutely! Use the search function to pull up posts in this forum and also in the Grand Canyon forum. You'll find plenty of explanations for the route.

However, if you can swing it, you can have an even better trip by spending one night on the rim in one of the lodges. This will give you the time to enjoy both sunrise and sunset at the canyon. I strongly recommend it.

it is, but leave early so there is a shorter wait at the park entrance...head straight to the rim where the hotels are, take the tram ride to Hermits Rest and walk/ride the rest of the way back. I suggest bringing a full picnic lunch as restaurants can be full and pricey for what you get. make sure you take time to sit on the wrap around porch at the El Tovar and take a deep breath, you will love it.
