I didn't see any Saguaro in Sedona. I think it's probably too cold and possibly even too wet for them. Sedona is at what - 4,000 feet or so? I think Saguaro will only grow up to maybe 3,000 (3,500 max). They're pretty tender and are only found naturally in the Sonoran Desert in the southern part of the state (or nearby areas of Cal & Mexico).

I was in Scottsdale in April and the Saguaro were all budded. I think they bloom in May?. They are all over the Sonoran desert which includes Phoenix area. You will find a wonderful selection of cacti at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix.

The cactus in Sedona are in bloom as I type. The wild flowers are shrinking though.

No Saguaro, their eco zone stops at Black Canyon City half way to Sedona.

Some are starting to bloom right now. The Saguaro are only found near the Anthem area (n phoenix) and south of that. The smaller cactus look like the will start blooming up here in about 2 weeks. But if it froze with the last snow storm/rain they may not bloom much.

All the saguaro I have seen in recent weeks looked like they were just about to bloom, which is early, more typically late May and early June. Other cactuses are in bloom and will continue for a few weeks at least.
