So my question is Do i stay in Sedona 1 night then Flagstaff 1 night then the next night stay closer to the South rim. I ready need in sight or do i stay inbetween Sedona and the Grand Canyon and make that my main home?? Thanks for any suggestions i'm sooooo confused. dallas1 from PA

I say stay in Flagstaff as your base. Sedona is about 40-45 mins with construction going on. GC S rim is about 1 hr 20 mins roughly. Its kind of up to you but if you can get 1 night at the GC that would be the best bet.

Dallas,

Sedona is not that far from Flagstaff (30-45 min), so rather than bouncing around, maybe stay in Flag and drive down the switchbacks to Sedona for a visit.

Unless you have something specific to see in Flagstaff, I would say stay 2 nights in Sedona, then 1 night at the Grand Canyon -- in the park, if at all possible, otherwise, in Tusayan.

There is more than enought to keep you well occupied in Sedona for the short time you will be there.

For a hotel in Sedona, we enjoyed the Sky Ranch Lodge.

I'm with MikeP. 2 nights in Sedona and one night at GCNP.

Sedona has every kind of hotel that you could want. What's your style and budget?

I want a hotel that has the southwestern feel and look of the building. Don't really like high rises. Something homey. As for price maybe mid price.

OK There are no high rises in Sedona, so that leaves everything open architectually.

What is mid price? I suggest that you look at the hotel and lodging link from this page and find a few hotels that sound appealing to you. Then come back with specific questions about a few of them. Or at least give us a dollar amount for your budget.
