Thanks

Can't comment because I've never done it around here. But there are plenty of very good wines being produced near Sedona. The wineries are in Page Springs, Camp Verde and Jerome. Many of the best restaurants around Sedona feature full selections of local wines on their menus.

Here's a link to a map of the "Verde Valley Wine trail":

Our favorite winery to visit is Page Springs Cellars near Cornville; they have a nice little patio and excellent appetizers to go with your wine. In that same area are Oak Creek Vineyards and Javelina Leap Vineyards. You can also go into Cottonwood and Jerome to the tasting rooms. Our least favorite tasting room is Jerome Winery; every time we go in there, they just seem to be cranky and rushed, and not interested in actually talking about wine. Caduceus Cellars and Arizona Stronghold are good, though. Have a great time!

Just as background the area is great for growing grapes, and the vineyards were started around 20 years ago and have been growing ever since. There is even a program in enology and viticulture at Yavapai College, which places students with the vineyards as part of their training. Also YC started their own vineyard this year.
