what is best time to visit Drake Bay in Osa Pennisula?

We were thinking of staying at Aguila De Osa Inn in late October. Does anyone know if this is a good time for diving and land excursions? Or is it too rainy then?? Thanks

It is the mid of the rainy season...and when rain there really rains...

For diving ...the water is dirty from debris from the mountains...and some times is miles of brown dark water...and for excursions...you will get wet!!

Yes October is the glorious peak of the Green Season. You do get to see some amazing, breathtaking storms. I would make sure Aguila is open in October as most lodges in Drake close for this month.

The visibility is not too great for diving or snorkeling, and some days not possible to do these tours at all. But land tours can be great! Many mornings it is sunny and the water temp is always around 80 degrees.

One plus of October is that the humpback whales are migrating through the area, so you generally get to see these beauties.

Have a great adventure,

Summer Dawn
