Could someone please advise the driving time and miles from Las Vegas to Williams and then to the Grand Canyon Thanks.
Las Vegas to Williams...4 1/2 - 5 hours
Williams to GCNP-South Rim... 1- 1 1/2 hours.
LV - Williams (216 miles)
Williams - GCNP (58 miles)
Thanks very much mn photojournalist.
Driving time is closer to 3.5-4 hours as the entire trip is 4-lane or interstate highways. Depending on stops of course.
Bob you must drive fast! 280 miles in 3.5 is avg speed 80mph! Can't go that fast through Las Vegas and over Hoover Dam!
It's not 280 miles, more like 170 and it takes about 3 hours. If you stop at the Dam then it might take 4 hours. It is 55 miles from Williams to the Grand Canyon and that take about an hour.
According to the NPS website, Las Vegas to South Rim GC is 278 miles!
Also Mapquest has it at 276 miles and Google maps has it at 278.
My Rand McNally Road atlas (old school maps) says 274 miles.
Hate to disagree, but us math teachers sure can do our figuring! LOL!
WOAH, folks. It was Las Vegas to Williams which is 216 miles, not to GCNP SR. He asked about distance from Williams to GCNP in another post.
OK, to restate, Las Vegas to Williams 216 miles, 3.5-4 hours. Williams to GCNP SR 58 miles, 1 hour.
