Need advice for April visit

My husband (62), grown daughter (32), and I (61) are planning to visit ES (1 night) at the end of April (not sure which weekend right now.) We are interested in The Crescent Hotel, but need a room with 2 queen size beds (not sure if that's available or not there since it is an older hotel.) My daughter and I took the ghost tour at The Crescent last Oct. and had a blast (did not stay overnight in ES since she lives in Branson.) The Quality Inn has an indoor pool and spa which we might consider since my husband needs to swim and sit in a hot tub for his bad knees, but would rather stay in the downtown area. How much $ are parking areas in downtown ES? Where are some places to eat that won't break the pocketbook and have healthier selections? Is the Basin Park Hotel ghost tour worth visiting? Are there any other ghost tours in ES? Any other suggestions about places to eat and things to do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your assistance!!!

You can park in several lots for $5 all day. I believe the coin operated parking meters are 15mins for 25cents,30mins 50cents and so on...

Sparky's Roadhouse Cafe and Myrtie Mae's both have reasonable prices

Henri's is also a nice option for lunch- sandwiches/burgers/salads

We LOVE Devitos-they have some of the freshest trout we have ever had

Lastly Mud St Cafe has wonderful Breakfast/lunch options

Here are links to menus so you can get a feel of food & prices

I have not been on the Basin park Ghost Tour BUT it does sound very interesting to me "The "Haunting Tales of Downtown Eureka Springs & Ghosts of The Basin Park Hotel" tour is both a chance to learn more about the many tales and fascinating stories of the history of Downtown Eureka Springs as well as possibly witnessing and/or capturing on film our next ghost story."

The Wildflower cottage located on east mountain has a nice outdoor hot tub that you may want to consider-I only mention to give you another option in lodging but it does not offer a pool

No double queens at the Crescent or the Basin Park, only double doubles. Don't miss a look at Thorncrown chapel if you missed it last visit. Voted one of the ten most beautiful buildings in the world built during the 20th century.

pastasalad is right on about the cost of parking downtown. However, most downtown lodging properties do have their own parking for guests. One other healthy choice for lunch or dinner is the Garden Bistro.....unfortunately they don't have a website.

We ate at the Garden Bistro last time in town. It was really good. http://eurekagardenbistro.com/lunch_menu.html

Myrtie Mae's was great as well. Nice salad bar and Sunday brunch was great. Free parking at both these places.

Sparky's has really good food as well. Eaten there several times.

Been meaning to do the Eureka Downtown and Underground. One of these weekends this year.

We did a tour of The Queen Anne Mansion. Very nice place and interesting information. Great guide. www.thequeenannemansion.com

Oh wow. Checked link to Queen Anne and they are no longer doing every day public tours. Only a few special events during the year. Sorry about that, didn't realize.
