About this area.

Hi,

We have been offered the use of an apartment in Salobrena area in September. We don't know very much about the area so we really need to ask some questions, firstly, how long is the journey from Malaga airport to here? Is there a bus that goes straight to Nerja and would we need to get a taxi to get to Salobrena? We like fine sandy beaches and I believe there's a few to choose from so.. which is the best beach to choose? Is the water clean enough (heard things about sewage problems etc) Is there a good enough choice of bars, restaurants and is there any entertainment to be recommended, live music, tribute acts amongst other things, even comedy? We have almost always done All-Inclusive holidays so this is something completely different and, actually quite daunting for first-timers not only to the area but to using an apartment instead of hotel! Absolutely any info we can get through replies here will be much appreciated indeed, thanks.

Jambonian.

Salobreña is not part of Nerja, it is a town about 33kms (21 miles) further along the coast

There are direct buses from Malaga to Salobreña, taking around 2 hours, cost is €8,14

Salobrena is quite a nice and It sits more or less mid way between Almeria and Malaga, with a fortified Arabic castle,The beach, is ashort walk from the town itself is the location of several “chiringuitos” (beach bars), very popular restaurants and bars with locals and tourists
