reciprocity fee if flying to Easter Island from Lima

Do I pay the fee if I go LAX to Lima to Easter Island? I hope not as we are a family of 5!!!! We have U.S. passports, but never land in Santiago, Chile.

The fee is only collected at SCL if arriving on an international flight, no other airport. If your flight is directly from Lima to Easter Island you do not pay the fee. If you were to land in SCL before continuing on to Easter Island you would as that would be a domestic flight.

Nope. You don't pay the fee. I just flew that flight a week and a half ago. Enjoy! Easter Island is one of the most special places I have ever been!!!
