Is it a domestic flt from EI to Santiago? Reciprocity Fee?

We are flying from Tahiti to Easter Island on 8/26 and then from EI to Santiago later that week on 8/29. Is the flight from EI to Santiago considered a domestic flight? Will we avoid the reciprocity fee since we will have already been in Chile? Or do we have to pay that on EI?

The reciprocity fee is no longer charged to US passport holders since Chile became part of the visa waiver program. You would not have had to pay it anyway.

Guidebooks have became outdated regarding reciprocity fees. So just like dancingmolly told you, that is not applied anymore in case of US or EU passport holders,

Anyway, flights between Easter Island (IPC) and Santiago (SCL) are domestic so no extra formalities when you travel, apart from your flight that departs from Tahiti (PPT-IPC).

Just to be clear, this applies only to US passport holders. EU passport holders never paid a fee and Canadians, Australians, Mexicans and Albanians still do (different amounts).

Nice to have an extra US$320 to spend on something nice.

Surely Albania doesn't charge Chileans for entry??

It must do as all charges here are reciprocal. They no longer have the amounts on the airport website, but Albania and Mexico were small amounts, under US$50.

That's correct, EU passport holders never paid anything (since Chileans were not charged, either).
