Angel Falld with First Choice

Please can anyone who has been on the Angel Falls/Orinoco Delta trip with First Choice tell me exactly whats involved?

How long is the flight?

What accommodation do you stay in overnight?

What clothes and shoes should we bring?

What do you actually do?

I leave sunday morning so any input is appreciated!

Hi I’ve just read you post, and notice you will have probably done the Angel Falls/Orinoco Delta trip with First Choice. We are a family of 4 and we are thinking of doing just the Angle Falls trip, (due to the cost) and have been wondering the same questions you asked IE what clothes/shoes and what you actually do. Can you now tell us please, also how did you pay cash or credit card and how much was it? We leave Sat 28th March.

Hi, I went to angel falls in feb 09. Went with Marcos tours and not with First choice. We left our hotel at 06.30 to go the airport and took a flight of about 1hr to the mainland. Then went on a boat down the delta to our overnight place on the delta. Absolutley fantastic. Went on a mini adventure on the delta and into the bush then spent the night in our basic but fabulous accomodation. Water all around and the noises of the bush. The next day we caught another plane and went to angel falls, walked behind a waterfall and then flew back to margareta. We got back about 5pm. You will nedd overnight toiletries, water, hat, sunblock, mosquito repellant, short and long trousers, swimwear, towel, good walking sandles/shoes to walk in water.

If you go with Marcos tours only takes dollars. It is better to take dollars in large denominations as you can exchange them for a better rate than smaller notes. Whilst out there we were told best not to use credit cards as the exchange rate is poor you get more for US dollars,

You can have a look at the web page for Magic Tours at www.islamargarita.com/magic-tours-english.htm .

Contact them for the latest prices as the local currency has been fluctuating wildly.
