Hotel Information

After reading about Killa Hotel on trip advisor I tried to make reservations there by sending an email and also calling.

It's a week and I have not gotten any response. Has anyone recently been able to make contact with them and if so can you give me the info.

Thanks to all

I haven't had personal experience with this hotel, but I have sent emails to many hotels in Argentina on their booking system and I feel they often have been stopped by filters. Many computers in Argentina have their systems set on the highest security despite the fact that they are dealing with tourists from the world over. Try sending them an independent email without going through their site, ensure you dont put any numbers or email address within the context of the email. They will see your email address anyway. Otherwise you could try booking this Hotel through one of your preferred hotel booking specialists. In this area I stayed at a great place Cafayate Wine Resort which I really enjoyed. Just another suggestion if you can't get hold of Killa.

I was in the place a couple of years ago and liked it a lot, so good luck for your search.

A highly informative and practical article by the Sydney writer! Two thumbs up! It gives me, too, some insight about why my e-mails to hotels sometimes go unanswered.

I'll toss in a few words about my fave in this region, the Alta la Luna wine chateau. It's not in downtown Cafayate, but around 20 miles south, just beyond the small town of Tolombon. We were highly impressed. We got a comfortable and nicely appointed room with views both north and south, breakfast, and also a gourmet dinner, all for US$125 (total, not per person), including all taxes.

We awarded the Altalaluna a Cosiness Pie, the highest award we can bestow upon a small hotel. Be mindful that you need a car to truly appreciate the location, amid vineyards in a wide valley between the Andes and a range of foothills. You'd consider it isolated if you had to rely on buses or taxis. (On the other hand, it's less than a half-hour from Cafayate. Lots of people staying around big cities, say at an airport or suburban hotel, commute farther.)

Memo to the Killa and the reservations people in other hotels: Answer your e-mails promptly! That way, you won't have writers like me raving to your potential customers about your competitors !
