Wineries to visit in Cafayate

If you have in mind to visit wineries and do tasting in Cafayate, please, remember...

You have to travel to Cafayate and it takes not less than 3 hours each way...

One day? Forget it. Minimun two days!

Cafayate is small comparing with Mendoza, but there are a few wineries which can be visited in town and some which are a little far (5 kms or more)...

They all have different opening time and policies for tasting.

NOT all of them are open to people.

FELIX LAVAQUE recently open to people since one month ago.

ETCHARD is not open to people since one month ago.

JOSE LUIS MOUNIER or Finca Las Nubes, PIATELLI are 5 kms away.

DOMINGO HERMANOS, NANNI, FIGUEROA, EL TRANSITO are in town... in a range of 5 blocks from the square...

You can also do some tasting at restaurants and bars as Terruño, Chato´s etc.

Interesting that ETCHARD is shut - we had a nice tour there. It is owned by a bit multinational company isn't it?
