Vaccinations

Ouch - just had my Diptheria booster and my Yellow Fever vaccination. My left arm (diptheria) is killing me and apparently I can look forward to some nice symptoms from the Yellow Fever over the next couple of days. Already starting to feel light headed and generally strange - but then I am generally strange anyway!

Hubby had no symptoms whatsoever. I had a filthy migraine but that was it and I'm not conviced it was the vaccinations anyway. Bad luck!

Wasn't trying scare anybody, just thought I'd jot down my immediate thoughts, I'll see what the next couple of days brings and jot some more - knowledge is power.

As I'm from Glasgow I'm away to get drunk, fight, eat haggis and generally get involved in all sorts of stereotypical activities.

If you choose to have the Yellow Fever one , that has to be got NO later than 10 days before departure, the others and YF also can all be done months before you travel though.....if you want to get them over and done with.

Well, it's the day after my jags and my left arm feels like Mike Tyson's taken a swing at it but there's no real bad effects from the Yellow Fever. I've got a sore throat and a wee bit of a sore head but nothing major.

It was actually my Hep A booster and not my diptheria I got by the way, little mistake there.

Must admit I've been feeling a bit ropey for nearly three days now. Feels like a cold and it might just be coincidence but I reckon it's probably from the Yellow Fever vaccination. Nothing too bad though.
