because the weather forecasts frighten people and the actual weather is much better I started this thread about 2 months ago
I report from the North Coast about Mtwapa, (about 25 miles from Diani) Bamburi (23miles), Nyali (20 miles). Showers trend to be very localised here but the overall weather is usually the same from North Coast, through Mombasa Town and onto the South Coast. The last 3 weeks or so have been overwhelmingly sunny and as a result its been getting hotter. (28º to 30º C, and it been towards the hotter end the last week or so)
MalaikaScotland usually talks to people in the South Coast area daily and reports on the weather in the Diani area, she hasn't for a few days, but you'll find her reports are usually the same as mine
Rain this afternoon on the north coast. Boo hoo!
It's absolutely glorious here! Red hot and set to remain that way all week!!!
Good Old Britain, it has some uses after all!
No sorry, Nic, even though we had some cloud today, and a couple of drizzly spells we still had quite a bit of sun and it was hotter than the highest forecast for London during the week, in fact its still 26º and its been dark for two hours, and 14º? It hardly ever goes below 22º at night .ヅ
Plus we have had 3 weeks for virtually unbroken sun and temperatures of around 30º and it will stay that way through October- how long is the Indian Summer going to last?
But everybody is not lucky enough to be here, so make the most of it, it will be a long cold winter ヅ
Ok Doff :-(
Nevertheless 14c is better and more comfortable for sleeping in than a humid 22c!
The coming week in the UK is likely to be the warmest week of the year and we're going into October shortly, it will probably be snowing in a couple of weeks time....
At least around the Kenyan coast you are guaranteed consistant heat ;-)
just a bit of banter, Nic, enjoy and make the most of it
(btw you do get used to the heat, I haven't used the bedroom fan for months now)
I'll be continuing to make daily weather reports on the thread above
Please Doff do let us show off with the little bit of warm weather we are getting...we probably won't get another chance for a long long time :)
